A fan sent a letter to Kristen Bell asking her for marriage advice, so she decided to share that advice with the rest of the world, too.

"I received a letter from a nice man who asked if I could write a note to his friends who are getting married. I wrote something congratulatory but then thought 'Kristen! Wait! You are an old married woman, shouldn't you have some wisdom to share?!' After I was finished I realized what I wrote is pretty much the A-Z of how [Dax] and I keep our relationship healthy. Its worked for us so far, So here ya go."

This isn't the first time Kristen has given marriage advice to the public. During an interview on the Harry Connick Jr. Show last year, she shared a behavioral pattern that she needed to address very early on into her marriage.

"The first year, you are working out your kinks. I loved it," she said. "We'd get in a fight, because we would fight a lot, and I'd, like, yell something then slam the bedroom door. Then I'd slam the front door, then I'd get in my car, and then I'd skid out the driveway and I would sit around the corner in my car and it felt so good."

However, Shepard put a stop to it really quickly.

"I realized how incredibly toxic it was only after he pointed it out," Kristen noted. "Three months into our relationship he was like, 'You can't leave anymore during fights. I'm not going to do that.' I was like, 'What?' He's like, 'You can't do that, I'm not going to have a relationship.'"

Kristen and Dax married in a city hall ceremony on Valentine's Day 2013. "We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse," she told CBS News, "and it was still one of the best days of my life."
